What types of events can I host here?
Brookwood is a versatile and elegant setting designed to accommodate a wide range of events. From weddings, rehearsal dinners, and engagement parties to corporate retreats, family gatherings, and milestone celebrations, every occasion is elevated by the beauty and privacy of our 120-acre property. Whatever your vision, Brookwood provides a stunning backdrop and thoughtfully designed spaces to bring your event to life.
How many people can this location accommodate?
We designed the Chapel in a way that feels cozy enough to host a small, intimate wedding/ elopement or large enough to accommodate family and friends from all walks of life. Covered seating is approximately 80 and wrap around seating can easily fit 150+. The Green can host up to 250!

Investment Guide
Do you have an in-house caterer or a list of "preferred" caterers?
Brookwood does not require you to use a specific caterer, giving you the freedom to select the culinary experience that best fits your vision. While we don’t have an in-house caterer, we are happy to provide a curated list of trusted, preferred caterers who are familiar with our property and its unique offerings—making your planning process seamless and stress-free.
Can we bring our own wine, beer or champagne? What about hard liquor?
Yes! All bars/bartenders must comply with Mississippi liquor laws and be licensed and insured.
How far in advance should we book Brookwood?
We recommend booking as early as possible—ideally 12–18 months in advance—to secure your preferred date. Brookwood is a sought-after venue, and early planning ensures your celebration unfolds exactly as you envision.
Are there any noise restrictions? Do you have quiet hours?
No music is to be played after 11 pm due to the city noise ordinance. Please make sure musicians/DJs are aware of this rule.
Is there parking on site and if so, is it complimentary?
Yes, we have a complimentary parking lot on site. We have three handicap parking spaces.
What’s your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
Clients may cancel without cause up to 150 days before the wedding, but the retainer is non-refundable; cancellations within 150 days receive no refund and require full payment of all fees plus a $500 cancellation fee. The venue may cancel with written notice more than 30 days before the wedding, in which case the client will only be refunded unearned fees beyond any non-refundable or unused amounts, subject to the agreed remedies.
Rescheduled events are subject to availability and will incur a $500 reschedule fee.
How long do we have the venue for?
At Brookwood, we prioritize flexibility and tailoring each celebration to your vision. As a guideline, weddings typically have 13–16 hour windows, while special events are designed within 5–15 hour windows, allowing ample time for setup, your celebration, and a seamless, stress-free experience.
What time can vendors begin setup, and can vendors leave equipment overnight?
Vendors are welcome to begin setup at the scheduled time agreed upon during your planning session. While overnight storage may be limited but possible, our team coordinates logistics to ensure equipment and décor are handled safely and efficiently. Overnight storage or delayed breakdown may incur additional fees.
Do you require event insurance?
Yes, we ask all events to carry general liability or wedding event insurance, which protects both your celebration and our property. We are also an insured venue. Our team can provide guidance on coverage options.
Are there any restrictions on décor, candles, or special effects?
For safety and preservation of our property, we have a few guidelines: glitter, confetti, nails, glue, tape, and similar items require prior approval. If you are unsure if specific decor is allowed, please do not hesitate to reach out!
Is there a plan B if it rains?
Absolutely! We have a gorgeous spot on the square in the event of rain, we can also coordinate tent rentals if that's what you prefer.
